Yahya Wardak was born in 1967 in Afghanistan. He is son of Zir Gul Wardak who had worked at top management in banking system of Afghan Ministry of Finance, whose last job was the chairmanship of Pashtany Bank.
Mr. Wardak is married and has one daughter and two sons. He lives in Germany since 1992.
He got primary education at Spin Kali School, secondary education in Harbi Showanzai (Military High School 1981-1985), and higher education in the field of General Medicine in Czechoslovakia (1985-1992).
After learning language in Germany, he studied Health Systems, Public Health, and Tropical Medicine in developing countries at Heidelberg University. Later on, he studied Health Management at Mibeg Institute in Cologne for one year.
Yahya Wardak (MD, DCH & TM, Berlin), from 2000 to 2002, was an official personal of The Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg. After that, he joined with InWEnt (GIZ) in Bonn. He worked in creating and applying medical e-learning courses for the doctors of developing countries (2003-2006).
He was an editor with Deutsche Welle Radio and an advisor for some other German organizations (e.g. DED, InWEnt) regarding programs for Afghanistan, from 2007 up to 2009.
He traveled to Nangarhar in 2009 to observe the situations of Afghan universities, and he, until (May 2021), was an advisor at the Ministry of Higher Education in Kabul. He has now an office and continuing the publishing of textbooks program.
In this period, besides other works, he has published 500 textbooks and Literary books and distributed them free of charge to all universities of Afghanistan.
He has been teaching Pashto in Bonn since 2005 and has prepared a series of Pashto learning books for A1 and A2 grades, which include reading, exercising books, grammar books, vocabulary books, and teaching guides.
